 During this whole journey there were many mistakes and errors that happened while creating and filming this film.  For starters, we started filming late, we were supposed start filming during spring break, but nobody every followed up on it or reminded another one of us. But thankfully we made it through it.  Filming In the middle of filming, we sadly had to recast one of actors in our film, mostly due to her not being her to film when we needed to. There were also times when we were filming, we forgot to do certain things, which made what we recorded not turn out right. A mistake that also happened is when we recorded the camera quality wasn't similar to the other clips, so we end up having to recolor it. It didn't look bad, but it wasn't like it wasn't noticeable (we ended up not using the clip anyways). Editing  Editing was honestly the worst part of this whole process. When we did edit the clips, it sometimes didn't sync, or the clip was to long that all of it ...

According to StudioBinder, "Film distribution  is the process of making a film available for audience viewing. This means having a film be purchased or rented by a distribution company, which will then take the steps of marketing and displaying the film".

 Today I finished editing all the clips together, which almost 2 hours. 

Today we started editing our film. We edited the second half of the film. We used an app called CapCut, a free editing software that allows editing for pictures, clips, and videos.   It took a couple of tries to put the clips together, but it turned out okay since one of my group members, Fergie C, helped out a lot, through her own experiences doing her own edits.  When editing we didn't add as many transitions because it ended up looking like a PowerPoint instead of film. It's not the best but it looks decent.  One thing I noticed when editing is the audio. There is a lot of wind so you could really hear it. Me and Fergie did try do reduce the wind, it's not fully gone, but it's not as apparent. I think once were fully done filming we will edit more on it. It was also pretty easy to add in audios. There is also a part in this edit where the visual and color looked different and we tried to fix to the best of our ability, but it looks similar but not the same. 

According to StudioBinder, "Post-Production  is the stage after production when the filming is wrapped, and the editing of the visual and audio materials begins. Post-Production refers to all of the tasks associated with cutting raw footage, assembling that footage, adding music, dubbing, sound effects, just to name a few. The post-production process is highly collaborative, across a few months to even a year, depending on the size and need of the project". 

Last week Tuesday, (April 9th, 2024), me and Isabella started filming for our scenes, but we didn't get as far due to having class. We filmed in a bathroom at our school.  Today, we filmed again, but we had to move to a different bathroom because the last one was out of order and also locked. But this time we got way father than we got last time. We also had help when filming my other group members like Jazmin H, who helped us film a scene where both me and Isabella have our reflection in the mirror, so she helped to film that while also not having her reflection shown as well.

Finally, we finished filming. We filmed the last parts of the first scene that had me and Isabella in. We filmed in the hallway of our school, which was pretty embarrassing because people were looking at us and we were wearing our costumes. But overall, it was still fun. All we need to do now is put all the scenes together and edit the rest of them. 

Fergie who played Lauren in the film had to be replaced by Carltia, who now plays her character. Fergie wasn't here the day that we needed to film, but she did show today and since we already filmed scene with Carltia, Fergie and the rest of the group agreed to still have her in the film but not as an extra. Which worked out since she didn't want as many lines to begin with. 

 Today we filmed the last scenes for Jazmin, Chnicsha, and Carltia. We then started filming the shot that was of me. We filmed during 5th, lunch and 6th block at school. We took advantage of filming during Firewall after school, so more than half of our film is fully filmed. 

Today, we filmed our second part of our film.  Filming We filmed during first block and third block, so we got a lot more scenes done today then we did last week Thursday.  We filmed the second part to Jazmin, Chnicsha, and Fergie, but I'd say now Carltia's scenes. And we also filmed the first part that we filmed over again, now with Carltia in it as a replacement.  Who Helped? We didn't have Ethan to help like we did last time, so then I took over filming for the first part of their script and then Isabella, whose also in the film, helped record the scenes for the second part of the script.   Filming Today was the second day me and my crew were filming. But one of my group mates weren't at school, Fergie C (who plays the character of Lauren in the film), so my teacher said to just cut her out of the film all together, which sucks but it's what we had to do.  So, in the mist of things, we went on to find a replacement for her or understudy for her character as a whole. I asked around and my friend, Carltia Ghigliotty, offered to play the role of Lauren to help out.  *THANK YOU!!   And since we had to switch the actor of our film, we also had to re-record what we had filmed a couple days prior (last week). So that was very frustrating. But even though we had this hiccup we got further then we were previously when we first started.  Wardrobe Also, since we had to redo the scenes, we did before the character (Layla) had a different outfit, so we had to change the whole entire outfit for her as well, which is fine, just keep it consistent.  And for...

 Today we started filming.  Our group decided to film during first block, although one of our teammates (Chnicsha Ross) wasn't here to record, so I had to compromise. With it being that for that specific scene, she will still be in that scene but as if she is joining the group instead of being with from the start.  I had Ethan M., to help and be the camera man since he was more experienced in that area, and it helped out a lot.  Since it was a half day today at school, we didn't have a lot of time in class to film, but I wanted to still take the opportunity to film, even if it was for a little part. And we did have to do a lot of retakes, but it wasn't that bad as I originally entailed.  At first when we started filming, we were using a Canon camera, but then we switched to my phone to record scene we needed it to be more still, and the action mode on the iPhone came in clutch. We still have lots more filming to do, and we plan on filming again around next week....

 What Is It? According to the website MasterClass, " The production stage, also known as principal photography, is  when shooting begins . During this short timeframe, additional crew will be hired—like a script supervisor to check for script continuity while filming, and a property master to acquire and oversee any of your film's props." Production This is the stage we are currently at right now. We will be working on 2 scenes, but it will be broken up into segments. The film will also not be filmed in order, the first scene will be Jazmin, Fergie, and Chincsha scenes, then we will film me and Isabella's scenes next. This is done to get the bigger parts out of the way and then work on the smaller scenes. 

 April 8th, 2024 Next week Monday Filming during first block period.

 For today we used two pieces of equipment to film a scene for our 2-minute opening.  We used:  Canon Rebel T7 iPhone 14  We first started off by using the Canon, then we switched into using the phone for a more still shot. But we do plan on using both equipment's. 

 Here are the outfits for our film. These outfits are from 2 of the main characters in the film. *Though the outfits that were planned to be worn have kind of changed.  Jazmin Hill Jazmin outfit did change, but it isn't as much of a drastic difference.  Fergie C.  Hers looks somewhat like the inspiration photos. This is so far how the characters will look.

Not being filmed during a school day.  (There's no school this day, but we will still come to school to film).

 For our film we used a variety of props for film that would help set the scene.  Bike Bookbags Notebooks Fake Knifes *There're bedazzled to fit the character and the title of the film. All of these props are to help with the setting of the film and to fit the characters as well.
